Stainless steel flat welding flange is an important component widely used in pipeline connection systems.
Definition and connection method: Stainless steel flat welding flange is generally referred to as flat welding flange, also known as lap welding flange. The connection between it and the pipeline is to first insert the pipe into the flange hole to the appropriate position, and then perform lap welding. The connection form is single-sided welding and double-sided nut connection.
Easy to install: The design is simple, easy to disassemble, and does not require complex connection processes, which can effectively shorten maintenance time and reduce maintenance costs.
Low cost: Compared to other types of flanges, the manufacturing process of flat welding flanges is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap.
Good corrosion resistance: Made of stainless steel material, it has good acid and alkali resistance, oxidation resistance and other properties, suitable for pipeline systems in industries with high hygiene requirements such as chemicals and food.
Good sealing: The welding connection method between the flat welding flange and the pipeline can avoid possible loosening during bolt connection and ensure the sealing of the connection.
Specification and pressure rating: The specification range is wide, and the nominal diameter is usually DN10-DN2000. The pressure levels include PN0.25MPa, PN0.6MPa, PN1.0MPa, PN1.6MPa, PN2.5MPa, PN4.0MPa, etc., which are generally suitable for connecting carbon steel pipes with a nominal pressure not exceeding 2.5MPa.
Application areas: Widely used in shipbuilding, air conditioning and refrigeration, construction and mechanical engineering, medicine, food processing and other fields, mainly used for the connection between pipelines and between pipelines and equipment, facilitating the installation, maintenance and repair of pipelines and equipment.
Production process: Stainless steel plates that meet standards are usually selected, and circular flange shapes are made through cutting, stamping, and other processes. Then, the outer edges and inner holes are precision machined. Some high-quality flanges also require surface treatments such as sandblasting, polishing, and electroplating to improve corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
